Privacy Policy

Find-a-job.com.au is a public service initiative, provided FREE of charge to both employers and job seekers, which is funded by the sale of product on the Job Creation Project Sweet Stands located in businesses up and down the eastern seaboard of Australia.   The Job Creation Project Sweet Stands are run by The Job Creation Project Pty Ltd, (hereinafter called “the Company”) which also owns this site.

Our company and employees are committed to both respecting the privacy of those who use this service, as well as to complying with the Privacy Act.

This is why we have chosen a model that allows both Employers and Job Seekers to remain anonymous until THEY choose to reveal contact and identifying information.

This policy sets out the type of information we collect, how it is collected and how we manage it.

What, How, Why & Where We Collect Information

We collect personal information when you register online to use this service. Some information is necessary to provide our service to you, however other information is input at your discretion and is not necessarily required in order for us to provide that service.   However leaving out some information may mean we can be of less service to you, or that an employer or jobseeker may be less likely to indicate an interest in contacting you.

Personal information is collated and stored in our database. We also collect demographic information that is not unique to you such as post code, age and gender. This allows us to continue improving our services.

Email Contact

This system is e-mail driven, which means that we will need to send emails to you for a variety of reasons. Your acceptance of our Terms of Use (which includes this privacy policy) constitutes your agreement to receive emails from us.

Who Has Access to Information

The only information available to third parties, ie. prospective employers, agencies or prospective job seekers is that which you choose to provide access to when you register. Obviously it is wise to provide as much information as possible to entice an employer, agency or jobseeker to indicate interest, however it is your responsibility to program your account as to what it is you wish to reveal.

The “coded identity” process we use, that is identifying jobseekers, employers and positions through a numbering system, gives you control of your information.

Obviously once you allow access to, or give another party your information this is beyond our control and we cease to have any responsibility for such disclosure.

Furthermore, we are not responsible for the use of information by the third parties you release information to, nor to those who may gain unauthorised access to our searchable database.

We may disclose information if legally required to do so by a Government authority, if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a legal process or directive, to prevent a crime or to protect the safety or privacy of other users.

Change, edit or delete your information

You remain in control of your account at all times, and can change, edit or delete your information at anytime you wish.

Security of Information on this site

We use all reasonable technical and organisational measures to secure your personal information from unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration or disclosure. However, because this service uses technology and programming that is often outside of our immediate control, we cannot guarantee that unauthorised parties will not gain access to information. All information which we hold for you is stored on servers that are protected in controlled facilities. Furthermore our employees are all required to sign Confidentiality Agreements before working with us. However, we will not accept any responsibility for any event that may result from unauthorised access of your personal information.
